A Perfect Circle Will Make New Music…Just Needs To Find A Place To Record

Posted by on February 14, 2011

Just in case their tweet two weeks ago confirming plans to tour North America this Summer wasn’t enough proof that the reunion is NOT over, guitarist Billy Howerdel has told The Pulse Of Radio that plans for new A Perfect Circle music are in the works, with a few songs already created. The thing that’s holding the process up, though, is finding a place to work. Howerdel explained the following:

“I kind of had the biggest void of writing in the past few years that I’ve ever had. I don’t really have a great place to work. I had a house with a studio and sold that, and so I don’t have this readily available studio. And it’s the worst reason in the world to not be doing it, but we’re basically an unsigned band, we can kind of do what we want and put it out how we want, and we can kind of turn it around pretty quickly…that is if I find a place to start working.”

I know studio time can be pretty expensive, but if finding a place to record is the only thing holding new APC music up, then there shouldn’t be much to worry about. I mean, if each member is able to find the time in between their other projects (Maynard James Keenan is reportedly in the studio with Tool, and Howerdel’s Ashes Divide project is still active), then finding a recording space is an inconvenient but doable “next step.” We’ll keep you posted when more is revealed. And who knows, maybe we’ll get to hear new A Perfect Circle music during their Summer performances.
