Back in September, fans everywhere were excited that A Perfect Circle, the supergroup led by group led Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Puscifer) and guitarist Billy Howerdel (Ashes Divide), were returning after a six year hiatus. But could the reunion be short lived? That’s indeed what Howerdel is hinting at.

Howerdel released the following tweet Monday (November 29) morning:

“@aperfectcircle 2010 tour is done. Thank you all for the warm welcome back! Now back to work on @ASHESdIVIDE

Did Howerdel just reveal that A Perfect Circle is going back into hiatus? If so, anyone else find it ironic that he did so by using the same social media format the band used to hint at their return? It seems weird that the band would go back into hibernation after making a well publicized return, which included a handful of shows and TV appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Last Call With Carson Daly. However, it wouldn’t be too hard to believe since each member has commitments outside the band. The busiest member is obvious Keenan, who, in addition to touring and recording new music with Tool, has apparently been teasing fans of plans for a Puscifer film/TV show. Although, in the same interview with Rolling Stone where he confirmed that Tool was working on a new album, he also revealed that a new APC album was in the works as well.

So what gives, you ask? Well, we’ll keep you updated when more is revealed about A Perfect Circle’s future.
