Award Show Battles

Apparently, the O Music Awards is MTV/ Viacom’s way of rewarding achievements in the digital music realm and web culture. The online award show features categories like “Must Follow Artist On Twitter,” “Best Music App” and “Most Fucked Up Live Performance Gone Viral.” And none other than our buds at Metal Injection have been nominated for the “Beyond The Blog” award.

Metal Injection is in the running against other sites like Minor Thread and the NPR iPad App. However, Metal Injection is the only metal blog nominated. And dare we say it, they certainly deserve the honor, having given metal fans reports, videos and podcasts for the past eight years. Why does it sound like we’re trying to pitch you something? Well because YOU get to vote on who wins at the OMAs. Voting online is now open to the public, and all you have to do is sign in via either Facebook or Twitter to cast your vote.

So head over to the OMA’s website and cast your vote (cough -for Metal Injection- cough) today.
