Is it just us, or does the main riff in “Modern Day Delilah,” the first single from KISS’ forthcoming album Sonic Boom, bear a little more than a passing resemblance to The Sword’s “Freya?” The new album from Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Not Ace Frehley and Not Peter Criss will be out on October 6. The Sword will have a new album out early next year.

Meh, not really. Sounds like a riff that every band that plays that style of music uses. The Sword weren’t the first, and Kiss certainly won’t be the last.

Pfft. I say they ripped ‘em off. Sounds very, very similar.

I’ve heard that riff a gazzilion times… if The Sword were ripped off, they’ve been riping off a hundred, maybe a thousand other bands…

I think Kiss are too lazy to rip off other music (because that would involve them actually listening to music, which takes time away from starring in reality tv programs and selling mr. potatoe head dolls to Walmart). Im sure its just a coincidence.

    Lars will sue!!
