Dave Grohl And Corey Taylor Record A Song Together

Collaborations, Fooknot

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Dave Grohl had teamed up with Ratt’s Stephen Pearcy and Warren DiMartini for an undisclosed track. Supposedly, the song is for a project of Grohl’s. While not much else may be known about said mysterious project, it would appear that the Foo Fighters’ head honcho has enlisted the services of another hard rock/ metal all-star: Mr. Corey Taylor.

The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman revealed that he had just recorded with Grohl and heavy-weight producer Butch Vig by tweeting the following:

“HUGE checks off the Bucket List today- did a song with Dave Grohl and Butch Vig. Do the words ‘holy shit’ say enough about it?!?”

“Holy shit,” indeed. It’s not exactly clear whether this was for the same thng that the Ratt N’ Grohl collab was supposedly recorded for. But unless if Taylor is contributing to a new Foo Fighters record (which could come out sooner than you’d think), it’s a safe bet that it is for Grohl’s mysterious new project. And that’s pretty damn cool, since Taylor has been a well-known Foo Fighters fan, and Grohl can really do no wrong (don’t believe us? Just ask Lemmy).
