Collaborations

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. This is one of those times. While it was revealed that The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato is working on an album with Soulfly/Cavalera Conspiracy frontman Max Cavalera earlier this year, not much has been said about itrecently. And not much was said yesterday on Puciato’s website aside from the accompanying text to this photo of the two that says: “Taking a stroll down Riff Road today with Max Cavalera. Progress on eventual release continues.”

The last thing Puciato said about the project was two months ago:

Just wrapped a week of jamming w/ Max Cavalera and Dave Elitch. Long days of deafening volumes. Elitch: “How the fuck do you two not wear earplugs?”. What? What Dave? Sorry, I can’t hear ya, bud. Eventual album really starting to come together. Projected recording date, producer, and mixer almost set in stone. Details will be more frequent in the next few months. Just keeping y’all in the loop for now.

Still no word on producer, mixer, or when it’s going to be out, aside from “eventually.” The two first worked together in 2010 on “Rise of the Fallen,” on Soulfly’s Omen.
