Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

The list of new debuts this week is notably shorter than previous weeks and lacking in big heavy hitters (no offense to Parkway Drive or any other bands listed here). So you may be thinking that the slowdown for metal is finally coming? Well, if it is, then it certainly isn’t going to be next week. And while this list of releases shows that, yes, we are eventually going to hit that point where bands are holding back releases till next year. But we’re not there yet, so take it all in now.
