 Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

We’re pretty much settled into that time of year where you can count the number of noteworthy metal releases on one hand. The end years lists are being posted and soon we’ll hunker down for the holidays until the new year arrives. But if you need to get hyped, just take a look at some of the list of heavy hitters that will ease us into 2016! Until then, take a look at how the rest of the year is playing out on the charts.

Danzig’s new covers album is his first album in five years.

 

Kublai Khan, New Strength (Artery) 1,425 sold

This is the second album from the Texan metalcore outfit.

 

Vision of Disorder, Razed To The Ground (Candlelight) 980 sold

The band releases their second album following their return in 2008.

 

Come and Rest, Blacklist (Equal Vision) 290 sold

This is the second EP from this Georgian metalcore act.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Letters From The Labyrinth (Republic) #25, 14,950 sold

In week three, this is still raking it in with just under 80,000 sold

 

Five Finger Death Punch, Got Your Six (Prospect Park) #53, 8,100 sold

Another boost, this time of 17%.

 

Rush, R40 Live (Rounder)#66, 6,800 sold

A 72% drop in week two.

 

Disturbed, Immortalized (Reprise) #71, 6,475 sold

A big boost of 59%.

 

Shinedown, Threat To Survival (Atlantic) #87, 5,425 sold

Just under 130,000 with a 14% boost.

 

Breaking Benjamin, Dark Before Dawn (Hollywood) #103, 4,425 sold

A 31% boost dawns.

 

Def Leppard, Def Leppard (Mailboat) #120, 4,725 sold

A 22% drop.

 

Bring Me The Horizon, That’s The Spirit (Columbia) #130, 3,250 sold

Over 100,000 sold after a 24% boost.

 

Iron Maiden, The Book of Souls (BMG) #185, 2,200 sold

This books a 6% boost.

 

Wage War, Blueprints (Fearless) 1,775 sold

This only dropped by 23% in week two.

 

Intronaut, The Direction of Last Things (Century Media) 500 sold

An 11% drop.

 

All Them Witches, Dying Surfer Meets His Maker (New West) 440 sold

Looks like the band’s tour with The Sword has boosted this big time.

 

Reflections, Color Clear (eOne) 330 sold

Looks like the band’s current tour has nabbed some numbers.

 

Saxon, Battering Ram (UDR) 320 sold

A 37% drop really sax.

 

Metal Allegiance, Metal Allegiance (Nuclear Blast) 320 sold

This gets boosted again by 43%.

 

Silent Planet, The Night God Slept (Solid State) 240 sold

This gets boosted up again just in time for Jesus’s (alleged) birthday.

 

Red Sun Rising, Polyester Zeal (Razor & Tie) 220 sold

Not redy for a 30% drop.

 

Get Scared, Demons (Fearless) 210 sold

Scared of a 5% drop.

 

Nile, What Should Not Be Unearthed (Nuclear Blast) 210 sold

This gets boosted up by 63%.
