Studio Releases

Marilyn Manson, Heaven Upside Down (Loma Vista Recordings)

Heaven Upside Down is the tenth studio album from the American metal group Marilyn Manson. Unfortunately, just this week while they were on tour Marilyn was injured when a stage prop fell on him mid show. They have since postponed their next two weeks of shows and they are expecting to be rescheduled. Also drama. Like their previous release, The Pale Emperor, this album was also produced by Tyler Bates, the band’s current guitarist. They have released a music video for the track “We Knew Where You Fucking Live.” Heaven Upside Down is also available on vinyl.

The Black Dahlia Murder, Nightbringers (Metal Blade Records)

Nightbringers is the eight studio album from the American death metal group The Black Dahlia Murder. This is their first album with guitarist Brandon Ellis, who replaced Ryan Knight. Earlier this week MetalSucks released a funny video of the group’s vocalist Trevor Strnad going around Time Square in New York City to get tourists to react to their new music. The band is currently touring North America, will be into November. Suffocation, Decrepit Birth, and Necrot are opening for them. Nightbringers is also available on vinyl.

Angel Vivaldi, Synapse (Self release)

Synapse is the newest release from guitarist and producer Angel Vivaldi. So far he has released music videos for the two tracks “Dopamine” ft Oli Herbert and “Serotonin” ft Nita Strauss. The album also features performances from Gus G (Firewind, ex-Ozzy, ex-Dream Evil) and Julian Cifuentes. Angel and his band are currently touring Europe, but will be doing a small north east U.S. tour in November. I hope to make it to the Nov. 9th date here in Pittsburgh.
