I guess it’s not too surprising that Louisville’s My Morning Jacket would be fans of Danzig. While their music is equal parts psychedelic, soulful and jammy, they do have a song called “Holding On To Black Metal,” and can definitely shred live. Their relatively faithful cover of Danzig III’s “How the Gods Kill” is a great way for Jim James to channel his inner Glenn, and probably surprise the hell out of any crossover metal/MMJ fans.
