ETF-300x300Metal Insider’s Top 5 is a column where we count down the top five of…well basically anything.

Today, Escape the Fate’s fifth album, Hate Me, is out in stores, and while the October 30th release date makes album makes it a Halloween album, if not thematically. The metalcore band are currently on the road in support of the album (Check out the dates after the list) and will be playing New York City’s Webster Hall tonight. To commemorate tomorrow’s holiday, we asked drummer Rob Ortiz to give us his favorite Halloween albums for a special All Hallow’s Eve version of Metal Insider’s Top 5.

Hate Me is out today on Eleven Seven records. It can be ordered here.

5) Michael Jackson, Thriller

Without a doubt the song “Thriller” will always be on heavy rotation around Halloween time, so it’s the most obvious pick for me. I remember being a little kid being freaked out by the music video and always trying to learn the dance moves. Wouldn’t be Halloween without Thriller.
