Ripping on people, especially famous people, can be funny as hell. And that’s how things are going to start for Rock On The Range in Ohio this May. Corey Taylor will be the subject of ridicule at the Monster Energy Roast On The Range, the third entry in Revolver and Guitar World’s Rock & Roll Roast Comedy Series. Previous subjects of the roast include Zakk Wylde and Dee Snider.

This year, Sebastian Bach will be the roast master and the group of people tearing up Taylor (hey, that’d make a good crappy band name) will be bandmate M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Scott Ian, Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson, Craig Gass, Brian Posehn, Pearl Aday, Finesse Mitchell,  and Jose Mangin.

On the subject of the roast, Taylor says:

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I’m a little nervous, a little excited, and of course a little gassy. But that could just be the excitement. I’m really looking forward to it, but knowing my friends and the possibilities for who could be a part of this, I have no idea what I’m getting into!”

Sebastian Bach also commented on the roast:

“I really look forward to roasting my good buddy Corey Taylor in Columbus, Ohio this May. Corey is right now following my lead becoming the brand-new pretty boy frontman of heavy metal. Oh wait… he’s wearing a mask. See you soon!”

The roast will take place on Thursday May 15 at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
