Big News, Contests, Packaging

Since Metal Insider and Clutch’s label Weathermaker Music share a building, we recently caught up with label head Jon Nardachone, where he unboxed and showed off the double vinyl version of their most recent album, Strange Cousins From the West. The package will come with a code to download the album, which features two songs that weren’t on last year’s CD release: “Metroliner Special” and an extended version of “50,000 Unstoppable Watts.” The album is available for pre-order now at indiemerchstore.com, and will be out on 3/9. There’s also a clear vinyl version that they’ll be selling on the road, which you’ll also see in the walkthrough.

UPDATE: Now, that crazy guy wants to give away a copy! Entering is easy! Just leave a comment below with your favorite Clutch lyric. We’ll pick one winner at random.

Contest Rules:
- One winner will win one copy of Clutch Strange Cousins From The West on vinyl.
- All winners will be selected at random and contacted via e-mail.
- One entry per person. Multiple entries WILL be disqualified.
- Entries must be in by 6 PM EST on March 3.
- Open to US Residents only.

That is incredibly cool. I thought the CD packaging was one of the greatest I’d seen since Tool’s ’10,000 Days’, and it’s good to see that they’re keeping that up with the Vinyl.
