Dream Theater is in the midst of their first big tour with new drummer Mike Mangini. The Crimson Projekct, featuring King Crimson songs performed by some members of the band, is opening. In short, if you like progressive or metal in any combination, this tour is a must see.

Metal Insider is offering up a pair of tickets to the Los Angeles show, taking place on Monday, July 2 at the Gibson Amphitheater, courtesy of Live Nation. To enter, all you have to do is leave your information below. We won’t do anything with it but contact the winner, who will be chosen at random. We”ll be choosing our winner on Friday, July 29 at 4pmET, so you’ve got until then to enter. Obviously, if you’re not in the Los Angeles area or won’t be there on the 2nd, you don’t have to enter.

    Just saw their show in Chicago. Dream Theater is completely incredible, but the Crimson ProjeKct is… lacking, to be polite. It is challenging to identify much of what they play as songs. While each musician is very skilled and impressive, as a performing group they are insufficient. The majority of their performance felt like jamming, but without a consistent tempo and/or key.

    Maybe I just don’t get it. Still worth going to see for Dream Theater though!

  • Louna has premiered a new music video for the song “Business” with Crave Online. The extravagant and politically themed music video comes in support of  the Russian hard rock group’s new album, Behind The Mask, available now via Red Decade Records and MEG/RED.

  • Unsigned & Streamed alum Pheroze has released a video for the song “Today I Belong To The Dead.” The song appears on Pheroze’s recently released EP, Ennui.
