Contests

By now you know that Iron Maiden recently released a new live CD/DVD titled En Vivo! Filmed during their performance at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile on April 10, 2011, En Vivo! is yet another example of how amazing Iron Maiden truly is onstage. That’s why we’re excited to be giving away an En Vivo! bundle package that even fans who already bought the DVD will want to get their hands on.

More specifically, we’re giving away a prize package that includes a picture disc vinyl set, Steelbox DVD, Blu Ray DVD, and CD of Iron Maiden’s En Vivo! How can you enter for the chance to win this awesome package? Well, we here at Metal Insider HQ were recently debating what the “best” Iron Maiden cover artwork was. Maiden have had so many iconic covers that it was hard for us to agree on just one. So with that in mind, we want you to tell us which Iron Maiden album cover you think is truly the best in the comments section below.

We’ll be picking one winner by Wednesday, April 18. Multiple entries will be disqualified, and the contest is open to U.S. residents only (sorry, rest of world). So don’t waste any more time and enter for the chance to win this picture vinyl/DVD set of Iron Maiden’s En Vivo!

Somewhere in Time is the best because in one album cover it references numerous OTHER album covers, and songs. Amazing.

My favorite Maiden cover of all time has to be “Somewhere in Time”. Great detail with tons of Easter eggs to find from previous songs.

Powerslave.  Lots of hidden messages and the album itself has some gems at the end of each side! Up the Irons!

Definitely the Number of The Beast, It has Eddy controlling the devil!?! What more evidence do you need that Iron Maiden is above the devil, and in return god himself?!? Thats what I thought….

A Matter of Life and Death It has a post apocalyptic feel to it, and i’ve always loved that kind of thing. The cover art and title fit very well because after the apocalypse, it will be a life or death situation. Also, it looks as if the people (creatures) on the cover formed a sort of army together, which also fits well. This cover seems more thought out than some of the others.

Live After Death has the best affect  unfolded as a gatefold album cover, therefore making it the best ALBUM cover.

Purgatory EP (I own it) I have 300+ Iron Maiden LP’s. My wife banned me from buying any more, so this is my only reasonable chance of scoring this.  Thanks & UP THE IRONS!

I’d have to go with their 1980 self-titled debut because this was the world’s first glimpse of Eddie as well as their Iron Maiden logo.  All future albums were, in a sense, take-offs of the original.  It was also our first real glimpse of Derek Riggs’s iconic Maiden artwork. Up The Irons!
