Win Tickets To Blackened Music Series In Brooklyn

Contests, Events

Blackened flyerThe Blackened Music Series is a new concert series kicking off on July 31 at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple, and they’ve curated a great death/grindcore lineup to start off the proceedings. Pig Destroyer will be making their first New York appearance in four years, Brutal Truth will be playing, and Repulsion will be playing in New York for the first time ever! Seen as a forerunner to grindcore, Decibel recently named Horrified, a 1986 compilation of demos that’s the band’s sole full length, the greatest grindcore album of all time. The Flint, MI band will be playing Horrified in its entirety on the 31st. In short, it’s an excellent show with a once-in-a-lifetime lineup at a great venue. In fact, the last time we were at the venue, it was to see Neurosis and Mastodon there, which served as the inspiration for the Blackened Music Series.

Metal Insider is giving away a pair of tickets to the show. Just leave a comment in the section below, and we’ll pick a winner at random on Tuesday, July 28.
