Children Of Bodom have recorded covers of everyone from Alice Cooper to even Britney Spears. In fact, they’ve recorded so many over the years that they had enough to compile into Skeletons In The Closest. And for their new compilation album Holiday at Lake Bodom (15 Years of Wasted Youth), the Finnish metal group will include previously unreleased covers of Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” and the Dropkick Murphys’ “I’m Shipping Up To Boston.” While the CD/DVD package comes out on May 22, Crave Online is giving us a taste of their Dropkick Murphys cover.

Replace the bag pipes with guitar and keyboard, and you essentially have Children Of Bodom’s cover of “I’m Shipping Up To Boston.” It may not be our favorite cover by COB (that would be their take on The Ramone’s “Somebody Put Something In My Drink”), but it’s still a fun rendition nonetheless.
