Invisible Creature Design Ripped Off?

Two album covers: on the left, Foo Fighter’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, designed by the always amazing Invisible Creature, the art firm run by Demon Hunter’s Don and Ryan Clark. On the right, the self-released Amused, Confused & More Bad News from The Purrs.
Whoever is running the Invisible Creature Twitter account saw the latter at a record store and didn’t take too kindly:
http://twitpic.com/ehoak – Plagiarism gets you an endcap at Easy Street! I love the irony of the Phoenix cover below.
The atom-bomb-as-metaphor thing has been around since, well, the atom bomb (and in pop culture since at least Dr. Strangelove), so we’re less inclined to call shenanigans on this. But we do call “bad artwork” on the latter. A popsicle? That’s deep, man. What do you think?
