Epic Sails

Summer has just begun and we have a number of exciting festivals to pack our tents for, just like the Orion Music + More Festival this past weekend in Atlantic City, NJ or the upcoming CBGB festival in New York City. Alas, the sun will set on the summer of 2012 sooner or later, and us metalheads will have to return to our favorite indoor venues – unless…

We reported about the first two editions of 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise in 2011 and 2012, we also presented you our Top 5 list of reasons why we wanted to partake in said cruise, and we can now present you ten reasons why you should go in January 2013 because the first ten out of 40 bands have officially been confirmed, and will be listed at the end of this article.

What is yet to be announced is what the actual destination of the cruise will be. The last one took the 2,000 fans aboard to the Cayman Islands, next year’s hot spot will become public soon. The cruise will start from Miami on January 28, 2013 and return to its harbor on February 1, 2013.

And now, here is the list of bands you can expect to stand in line with while you’re waiting for your dinner, for the mere price of $666 (+ $299 taxes and fees):

Anacrusis
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter
Doro
Helstar
Immolation
In Flames
Lacuna Coil
Nile
Sabaton
Subway To Sally

So what do you say, ready to walk the plank yet?
