Guns N’ Roses To Co-Headline This Year’s Rocklahoma, Along With Alice In Chains And Korn

Posted by on February 13, 2013

Last week, Guns N’ Roses surprised many when announcing an appearance at this year’s Governer’s Ball. Well as it turns out, that wasn’t the only festival performance in the works as Axl Rose and his new gunners have also been confirmed for this year’s Rocklahoma.

Taking place on May 24, 25 and 26 at “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK, Guns N’ Roses will co-headline the annual festival with Alice In Chains and Korn. Also slated to perform are Bush, Cheap Trick, Bullet For My Valentine, Papa Roach, Skillet, Hollywood Undead, Steel Panther, Asking Alexandria, Ratt, Halestorm, Device (with David Draiman), All That Remains, Escape the Fate, Dokken, Clutch, Motionless In White, Big Wreck, The Sword, Young Guns, Thousand Foot Krutch, Otherwise, Red Line Chemistry, Mindset Evolution, Heaven’s Basement, We As Humans, American Fangs, O’Brother, The Last Vegas and more.

Even though the Oklahoma rock festival has transition from featuring less hair-metal and more active rock bands, seeing Guns N’ Roses play at Rocklahoma makes more sense than seeing them on a mostly indie-rock bill like The Governor’s Ball (Randall’s Island on June 7-9). Whether this implies more GN’R U.S. dates are on the way is unclear but seems likely. A pre-sale for tickets starts on February 20 at 10am CST and can be purchased via Rocklahoma’s website.
