In addition to announcing their intention to find a new guitarist, GWAR confirmed that they would once again be holding the GWAR-B-Q. And yesterday, GWAR confirmed details about their unholy Summer festival.
The third annual GWAR-B-Q will be held on August 18 Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, VA. Fans may recall that last year’s edition was originally supposed to take place at Hadad’s Lake, only to have the venue switched to The National Theater at the last minute. However, Oderus Urungus himself had the following to say about this year’s event:
“All the proper arrangements have been made in triplicate and the proper demonic sponsorships attained. It’s going to be a stinking hot, beer and beef-smeared metallic murderfest of unprecedented debauchery…the most splat-tac-cular GWAR-B-Q!”
Like last year, GWAR will be headlining the festival, which will spread across two stages. Also appearing on the bill will be The Casualties, Ghoul, Valient Thorr, Occultist, Lionize, Highness, Antietam 1862, MUTWAWA, and Black Naked Wings. In addition to music, the GWAR-B-Q will once again feature Spew-O-Lympics, numerous food vendors, endless streams of golden nectar, and much more. Plus, as an added bonus, none other than the Sexecutioner will be making his return to the stage with GWAR. So be prepared for lots of blood, sperm, and more bodily fluids than we care to imagine during GWAR’s set.
More details about this year’s GWAR-B-Q will be revealed in the coming weeks.
