2. Sounds Of The Underground

For its three-year run, Sounds of the Underground had a really solid mix of metal. Lamb of God, Opeth, Clutch, Poison the Well, Chimaira, High on Fire and Strapping Young Lad played the first year, and that was only about 1/4th of the bill. As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse and In Flames were among those performing in the second year. The third year featured Shadows Fall, Every Time I Die, Goatwhore, Amon Amarth and more. It also effectively re-launched GWAR’s career as a must-see band. They appeared on all three years of the tour, and the band was exposed to a lot of people that might not have seen them before.
