The lineup for the 2013 Rock on the Range festival has been announced for May 17-19. While it’s taking place again in Columbus OH, you could be forgiven for thinking that it’s taking place in the Pacific Northwest in the ’90s, as Alice In Chains and Soundgarden are among the headliners. Other ’90s-era bands playing include Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Papa Roach and Korn. And to make it even more ’90s-centric, Korn will be performing with original guitarist Brian “Head” Welch.

It’s not like Rock on the Range is just a nostalgia festival though. There are enough metal bands on the bill to make it a destination festival. The addition of Lamb of God is either optimistic on the festival’s part or everyone involved feels that it’s a lock that Randy Blythe gets off. At the very least, the trial will be over by then. Other metal bands playing include Volbeat, Clutch, Ghost, Stone Sour, In Flames, The Sword, Sevendust, In This Moment, Asking Alexandria and Steel Panther.

The festival will take place at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus OH from March 17-19. Pre-sale tickets will be available at rockontherange.com now, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Friday, February 1. Check out the full lineup after the jump.
