Korn Filmed A Commercial For…Walmart?

Posted by on January 17, 2012

This may come as a bigger shocker than Korn’s The Path Of Totality being named the album of the year by Revolver Magazine. According to a tweet posted by drummer Ray Luzier’s fiancé Aspen Lea last week, Korn filmed a commercial for none other than retailer behemoth Walmart.

When contacted to find out more, a Roadrunner rep didn’t know anything about said commercial. However, it’s safe to say that the band doesn’t want any info leaked yet because the tweet has since be removed from Aspen’s Twitter account. Thanks to Blabbermouth, though, a screen shot of the tweet can be seen above.

Granted, if this turns out to be true, it wouldn’t exactly be the most bizarre advertisement a member of Korn has done, but it’s certainly close. What would a Walmart commercial featuring Korn even be about? What are the chances that it would be a commercial solely about Korn’s music (unlikely, wouldn’t you agree)? Then again, if Rob Zombie can direct a commercial for a laundry detergent, and if Fred Durst can star in his own sitcom, then why can’t Korn be featured in a commercial for Walmart?
