Headbangers Brawl

Headbanger’s Brawl is a weekly column where Metal Insider’s Bram and Zach take a moment to debate and analyze two opposing sides of a topical issue occurring in the world of metal and/or the music industry.

After months of patience, weeks of rumors and gossip, and a new documentary to increase the suspense, Dream Theater has finally revealed Mike Mangini as the their new drummer. Though it won’t be until the Summer that we’ll get to hear new Dream Theater music or see them live with Mangini for the first time, the announcement still marks the end of the long waiting game.

But now that we know who the drummer is, what do we do now? Where do we and the metal community go from here? That’s the question Bram and Zach try to answer in this week’s Headbangers’ Brawl.

Bram: ……..We move on with our lives?

Zach: Yeah, I’m cool with that.

Well…that was easy.
