Hospital Music, Volume VI

zakk_clotPoor Zakk Wylde. First Ozzy goes and plays the Blizzcon show without him, debuting possible new guitarist Gus G. But to add injury to insult, he might not have been able to play the show anyway, since he checked into an emergency room following Black Label Society’s show in Missoula, MT on August 19 for blood clots in his lungs. It turns out that those clots didn’t heal right up, as he was admitted into a hospital in Eugene, OR today, and the BLS appearance tonight, as well as for the rest of their shows on the “Pedal To the Metal” tour, have been cancelled.

“The Pedal To The Metal Tour” will continue without Black Label Society, and the rest of the bands will all be participating throughout the remaining dates on the tour. Please visit www.pedaltothemetaltour.com for tour dates. BLS apologizes to ticket holders on the remaining “Pedal To The Metal” dates for the inconvenience, as well as to all BLSNATION Meet & Greet purchasers who gathered for the event this afternoon and in the remaining cities. BLSNATION refunds will be processed promptly.”

With two weeks more of the tour left, it’s got to be pretty brutal. Then again, with the tour having gone on for nearly a month already, Zakk doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that ever holds back when he’s singing. Or drinking. So he could use a rest. But it’s a crazy world we live in when Zakk Wylde has more medical conditions than Ozzy Osbourne.
