In The Studio

Slayer made their intentions known that they aimed to enter the studio before heading over to Europe in May, with the intention of releasing an EP prior to a new album. And thanks to drummer Dave Lombardo, we now know that Slayer have entered the studio with producer Greg Fidelman.

In a tweet posted on Saturday (April 14), Lombardo revealed the following:

“Working in the studio again today with one of the best producers I know, Greg Fidelman”

Shortly after, Lombardo confirmed that the tweet above was in reference to Slayer. This shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to Slayer fans, though. Not only did Fidelman work with the band on 2009’s World Painted Blood, but even guitarist Kerry King admitted that they were hoping to work with Fidelman on the new album if time permitted. However you feel about this, the tweet does confirm that recording for Slayer’s new album has started. That alone is worth cracking open a bottle of Reign In Blood for.
