GWAR Starting Work On New Album

In The Studio

Even after the loss of Cory Smoot (aka Flattus Maximus), GWAR have continued to soldier on. Minus a few missed shows, the band continued to hit the road and plan to tour even more this Spring (with Municipal Waste and Kylesa playing separate legs). And now it looks like GWAR is wasting no time to record new music either.

Earlier today, GWAR gave the following update:

“Like any band worth its salt, GWAR is constantly working on new songs. What’s different now is that the band has its own in-house recording studio/jam space, so everything they do is tracked. There is no release date, no gory details but rest assured of one thing…GWAR is working on a new album, and it will be a tribute to their lost Scumdog brother, Flattus Maximus! Watch Oderus’ Twitter feed for updates!”

Best of luck to GWAR as they continue work on new music. You can check out a complete rundown of dates for both legs of GWAR’S Return of the World Maggot Tour U.S. tour after the jump.
