Buckcherry Signs U.S. Record Deal With Century Media Records

Label Moves

Since making a comeback with 2006’s 15, Buckcherry has been signed to Eleven Seven Music. And though that label will continue to distribute them internationally, the rock group has just signed a new U.S. deal with Century Media Records.

Century Media Records officially announced today that they will distribute Buckcherry’s next album Confessions in early 2013. Singer Josh Todd had the following to say about the band’s new concept album:

“The time has come to finally announce the release of our sixth LP, Confessions. This is our coolest album yet and I think a lot of people will relate, if you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story – join the revolution and let’s rock!”

Most metal fans probably don’t care about the next Buckcherry album (even though we’ve all been confronted by a crazy bitch once in our lives). However, this is a major grab for Century Media considering Buckcherry’s mainstream success. And even though the label has been on a role with signing heavier acts like Voivod, Buckcherry is the next logical step from mainstream hard rock acts like In This Moment and Otherwise.
