Way back in October of last year, San Francisco black metal/shoegaze duo Deafheaven announced that they’d begun work on the follow-up to their sophomore album, Sunbather. And now it’s done, coming in October on their new label, ANTI-. Earlier today, the band released a one-minute teaser video announcing as such. Starting off with delicate acoustic guitar and showing a very black metal scene of waves crashing against a shore, it gradually darkens and cuts to a blast beat, showing the band at work in the studio. Further details about LP3 are vague, but we’re anxiously awaiting it.
