I Am Heresy, a six-piece band that counts former Boysetsfire vocalist Nathan Gray and his son Simon among its members, has signed a worldwide deal with Century Media. The band’s sound will be familiar to the fans of Boy Sets Fire’s brand of melodic hardcore, but filtered through other heavier bands such as Converge. We first became familiar with the band via their guitarist, Gregg Kautz, and it’s been exciting to see the band’s profile continue to rise. I Am Heresy released an excellent self-titled album last year, followed up by an EP, O Day Star, Son of Dawn, earlier this year. The band’s sophomore full length, Thy Will, will be released on March 4 in the US and Canada and a day earlier everywhere else. Here’s what Nathan Gray had to say about it.

A new ethos is born…Come ye daughters and sons of chaos and mystery! We intend to rebuild and create the archetypes of rebellion and revolution against self induced repression. Reveling in anthemic battle songs of lust, pride and indulgence in order to create a ritual purification from the stagnant impotence of servitude and self denial.
