The Dillinger Escape Plan Sign With Sumerian Records

Label Moves

The Dillinger Escape Plan have been working on new music for the better part of the past year. And earlier this evening, the group not only confirmed via a teaser video that fans can expect a new album this coming spring, but also revealed their imprint Party Smasher Inc. will release it via Sumerian Records.

Though it became evident within the first two seconds of the video (check it out below), The Dillinger Escape Plan confirmed the new label home for their imprint via the following post on Facebook:

“The video below is to announce that Sumerian Records is now the official home for our label ‘Party Smasher Inc.’ Look for the new Dillinger release this spring followed by some other exciting projects soon!”

It’s also worth noting that the group posted an interesting cover photo on Facebook (as seen above). We’re happy enough to hear that a new album is coming out this spring, but now we’re looking forward to finding out what other projects they have in the works.

As you likely already know, The Dillinger Escape Plan released 2010’s Option Paralysis via their imprint in association with Season Of Mist. However, it was long known that the record was a one-off deal with Season Of Mist. And not only is The Dillinger Escape Plan and their imprint a major grab for the label, but Sumerian might prove to be a great home for Party Smasher Inc. considering the success they’ve had with bands like Periphery and The Faceless.

Watch the teaser video announcing The Dillinger Escape Plan’s new label home for Party Smasher Inc. after the jump. More about The Dillinger Escape Plan’s new album will likely come out soon. And we might not have to wait much longer to find out if Brian Benoit is back in the group as well.
