Legal Woes

Eric Ellis played guitar in Bury Your Dead from 2004 to 2008. However, now it looks like he might spend an even longer amount of time in jail if convicted for gang related crimes.

According to The Florida Times-Union, Ellis is currently on trial for gang related crimes in Jacksonville, FL. Originally charged with violating federal racketeering laws in early-2011, Ellis and alleged gang boss Maynard Godwin are being accused of partaking in a group of “violent robbers and drug dealers.” Godwin was supposedly inspired by the biker gang TV show Sons Of Anarchy to launch his own gang The Guardians, who have allegedly committed crimes such as home invasions, bank robberies, and assaults.

More details regarding the exact crimes Ellis and Godwin are being accused of committing can be read over at The Florida Times-Union.
