Earlier this week, the New York Post reported that Michael Couls and William Berardo were suing former Cro-Mags bassist Harley Flanagan and Webster Hall over last year’s now infamous stabbing incident. However, now frontman John Joseph is denying that anyone from Cro-Mags is suing anyone.

In a posting on the band’s Facebook page, Joseph said the following regarding the supposed lawsuit:

“TO THE WEBSITES POSTING LIES: The Cro-Mags aren’t suing anyone so get your f*cking fax straight. I really don’t give two shits about all this soap opera bullsh*t because I’m too busy doing positive endeavors and I stay out of it, but when you outright post lies I’m gonna speak on it. It’s amazing how the new jacks love to anonymously pop shit from behind the safety of a computer keyboard. ‘Signs of the Times’ huh? I’m just glad I grew up in a day where people faced each other if they had a gripe because this internet shit popping is for Cowards. Now, for everyone else in the Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis area much love and hope to see you this weekend.”

According to Blabbermouth, Joseph also posted that “our part-time fill in bass player is suing Webster Hall for his hospital bills,” though that specific post can’t be found. It should be noted that though the Post cites Couls and Berardo as Flanagan’s estranged bandmates, they are not official members of the Cro-Mags. Thus, it’s still possible that the two are suing Webster Hall for preventing the attack from Flanagan (who spent six days in Riker’s Island, but got charges against him dropped late last year), but the Post simply misspoke on the parties involved with the suit. Either way, even a little less than a year after the incident went down, the drama is still far from over.
