While the Iron Maiden/Monkees mashup we posted last week was good for a laugh, what better than to post another mashup, this time of Dream Theater’s “Wither” and Rick Astley’s internet meme “Never Gonna Give You Up?”

Scottish musician/blogger Neil McDougall got his hands on the limited edition box set version of DT’s latest, Black Clouds and Silver Linings, which contains the instrumental version of the album, and went to town. He even reversed it and made a version of the vocals of “Wither” over Astley’s original. Since “Wither” is one of the less heavy/more emotional tunes on the album, we actually think the addition gives it a little more pep.
