What happens when you take Shadows Fall guitarists Jon Donais and Matt Bachand, add in former Seemless bassist Jeff Fultz, journeyman drummer Derek Kerswill (who’s drummed in both Shadows Fall and Seemless) and Jason Witte? You get Dead of Night, who unveiled “It’s Over Now” on their Facebook page today. The song doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it definitely polishes it up some. It’s solid commercial music that’s heavy enough to appeal to metal fans, but commercial enough to end up on the radio down the line. Keep in mind that this is only a demo, but we’re looking forward to hearing more from them.
