By now we all remember the events that lead to bassist Mic Todd’s departure from Coheed And Cambria. And understandably, it took some time for the band to find a permanent replacement. However, earlier today, Coheed And Cambria officially welcomed Zachary Cooper as their new bassist.

The band themselves introduced their newest member in the video above. The addition of Cooper on bass, Coheed And Cambria now have solid lineup, with drummer Josh Eppard returning back in November of 2011. This announcement also comes as perfect timing. Coheed And Cambria, who have been working on their sixth album, are about to embark on a headlining tour this weekend, followed by West Coast dates with Iron Maiden.

After you watch Coheed And Cambria’s introduction video of their new bassist, you can check out a rundown of their upcoming dates with Moving Mountains and Pianos Become The Teeth after the jump.
