Last week’s dust up with Men’s Wearhouse was about the best possible thing that could have happened to Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine. He was voicing a legitimate complaint via social media, mainstream media picked up on it, and all of a sudden, Dave Mustaine is being written up on CNN. Of course, Dave being Dave, he also found fault in the CNN writeup. But once again, he has a legit gripe.

The article ends with the aside “Despite his own superstar status, Mustaine still holds a grudge against the more successful Metallica. He famously confronted his former friends during a band therapy session in the 2004 documentary Some Kind of Monster, where he gloated over Metallica’s struggles to write new music.” It’s obvious the writer hadn’t bothered to research Metallica or Megadeth since watching Some Kind of Monster. The bands not only made up, but played a number of shows together, along with Anthrax and Slayer. “Get yer facts right, CNN! I don’t still have a grudge w/Metallica, but I do w/you know. Guess ya missed the Big 4 tour?” Mustaine tweeted, attaching the above picture.

On the one hand, it’s great that Mustaine is actually railing against things that matter, as opposed to Barack Obama, chemtrails, and African women. On the other, Dave Mustaine is pretty much turning into Andy Rooney? What else can he complain about? Airline food? Wal-Mart? McDonalds? CNN has yet to issue an apology, which is why Dave is probably content to watch Fox News for his conspiracy theories.
