Huge Sales Week For Killswitch Engage

As predicted, Killswitch Engage’s new self-titled album will debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart today at the #7 position with 58,000 copies sold, marking the highest debut of their career. It will also be Roadrunner’s second top ten debut in two weeks, following Dream Theater’s #6 bow last week. Check back later today for a full weekly wrap-up of metal’s best selling records.

I think its great that Killswitch Engage did so well! They released a great album and deserve the recognition they are getting. I think its also great that a rock album (let alone metal) debuted so well. Also happy that Michael Jackson’s cd sells since his death hasnt stalled current releases, not that Killswitch would have competition with Jackson.
