Former Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover, who left the band in late November, have started a new project and, according to Blabbermouth, recruited Henry Derek Bonner from Scar the Martyr as their vocalist.

Broderick told Jose Mangin on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal that he was working with Drover on new music.

“We had all this material that was never gonna get released, all these killer, heavy riffs that we had written and stuff, and so we just decided, ‘Hey, why don’t we put the stuff out? Why don’t we form a band and get out these killer riffs, just to see what people think?’ So we formed a band, we’re working with a killer singer…”

That new “killer singer” turns out to be Bonner, who left (or got fired from) Scar the Martyr in April due to, “personal differences, artistic direction and a slew of business decisions.” It’s actually kind of up in the air as to what’s going on with Scar the Martyr. Their last Facebook post is from April, claiming they’re looking for a new singer.
