Testament Tap Gene Hoglan, Chris Adler To Record Drums On New Album

Metal Musical Chairs

Apparently drummer Paul Bostaph has suffered a undisclosed injury serious enough to sideline him from Testament’s recording sessions. While Bostaph will rejoin the band once for future touring plans, the San Fran thrash legends tapped some pretty big names to help record drums for their follow up to 2008’s The Formation Of Damnation.

Recording a majority of the drum parts will be none other than “The Atomic Clock” himself Gene Hoglan. This actually marks the second Testament album that the Fear Factory/Dethklok drummer appeared on, the first being 1997’s Demonic. In addition, Lamb Of God’s Chris Adler will be laying down drums for a few special bonus tracks. As if we weren’t excited enough for Testaments new album!

The band is about to enter the studio with producer Andy Sneap, aiming for a late 2011 release.
