If you’re a fan of Avenged Sevenfold and/or animation, then today’s a great day for you. The first six episodes of their animated series Hail to the King have landed online. All set to Avenged Sevenfold’s music, the episodes run between two and three minutes in length and are about the origin of Overkill Avenged Sevenfold’s logo, the Deathbat. The band worked on the series with Metalocalpypse‘s Jon Schnepp who directed it, and it’s pretty Heavy Metal – the animated magazine, not the genre. It’s all a leadup to the band’s game, Hail to the King: Deathbat, which you can view a trailer for below. It actually looks like a pretty cool game, and it features new theme music from the band. Look for it early next year.
