Corey Taylor participates in ALS ice bucket challenge

Posted by on August 19, 2014

If you have Facebook (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?), you’ve likely been inundated by videos of your friends and celebrities dumping ice water over their heads. It’s a little annoying, but it’s for a good cause, all to raise awareness (and money) for the ALS Association to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, best known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Here’s how it’s supposed to work – you get nominated and either have to dump water over your head or donate $100 to the Association. It’s spread to nearly everyone, including Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, who did it and nominated Anthrax’s Scott Ian, Chris Jericho, and producer Jay Ruston. Ruston chose to donate instead because California is in a drought, which is a damn good reason. If you’re interested in donating, you can do that here. You don’t have to get ice water dumped on your head for it, and when you get nominated, you can just tell people you already gave. Jay might be on to something.
