The British acting legend Sir Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93. The iconic actor’s career dates back to 1947, with recent roles in The Lord of the Rings and playing Count Dooku in the recent Star Wars prequels.

Lee was also quite a heavy metal performer and fan, too. Lee did narration on Manowar’s, “Battle Hymns” in 2010, and sang on Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross, which nabbed a “Spirit of Metal Award” at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods when Lee was 88 years old.

Lee also released a number of metal-themed Christmas songs, too – and they were no joke! The 2013 release, “Jingle Hell”, debuted at #22 on the Billboard Singles Sales chart, making him the oldest performer in history to have a song on the charts; an achievement that will probably remain for quite some time.
