Metalcore Musical Chairs

This past week, Killswitch Engage announced that All That Remain’s frontman Phil Labonte was filling in for Howard Jones, who has been forced to sit out of the band’s upcoming tour due to “unforeseen circumstances”. The band has not made it clear how long Labonte will stay on tour with the band, or even if the tour will continue on as planned.

However, rumors have arisen that former KsE singer Jesse Leach will be returning to the fold for the band’s upcoming New York City shows on March 18 and 19. Leach, who left the band in 2002 before Jones took over, is currently fronting the band The Empire Shall Fall. Leach left the band on good terms, even performing on the track “Take This Oath” from KsE’s Jones-fronted album The End Of Heartache (he’d even go on to perform it live with them at a hometown show).

We will keep you updated when more is confirmed.

This would be absolutely amazing if it happened! I would love to see Jesse back with KSE, even on a temporary basis. His voice is ridiculously good on his new album with The Empire Shall Fall, and of course, KSE fans will never forget how amazing he was on “Alive or Just Breathing.” Bring back JDL!
