It was just last month when Shadows Fall singer Brian Fair and Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D’Antonio announced they were working together on a new project called Death Ray Vision. Since then, the band, also featuring fellow Overcast alum guitarist Pete Cortese, has arranged a batch of live dates in the New England area, as well as posted pictures from their first recording sessions on Facebook. Proof that things went extremely well in the studio, Death Ray Vision has already released their new EP. Guess they didn’t want to be the only Shadows Fall side project not giving fans a taste of new music. It’s more than a little confusing that both projects have “dead” or “death” in their title, but that’s beside the point.

In addition to streaming a new song called “Shattered Frame,” Death Ray Vision will be streaming a different song from the EP each day this week. You don’t have to wait, though – the band’s debut EP Get Lost Or Get Dead is available for download for only $5 via Band Camp. Talk about a fast, do-it-yourself music release! After only hearing the one song currently streaming on the site, we think it’s a safe bet that fans of old-school Shadows Fall, old-school KSE and Overcast will be pleased. But check it out for yourself over at Death Ray Vision’s Band Camp page (5 songs for 5 bucks is a damn good deal if you ask us). You can also check out dates for their upcoming shows below:

4/8 – Vegas Lounge- Lunenburg, MA (with Angel Dust)

4/15 – New England Metal & Hardcore Festival – Worcester, MA (2nd stage at 3:30 pm)

4/22 – Ralph’s Diner – Worcester, MA (with Acaro, Birch Hill Dam, and Nightbitch)

4/23- Church – Boston, MA (matinee show with Acaro, and more)
