Today is the day that Type O Negative frontman/bassist Peter Steele would have turned 50. Had he been around to witness it, he’d likely have made a wry, sarcastic comment about it. It’s tragic and ironic that when he died on April 14, 2008 from heart failure, he’d been sober and healthy. Here’s an appropriate song for today, “Everyone I Love Is Dead.” We’ll also include “Unsuccessfully Coping With the Natural Beauty of Infidelity,” the song that got me into Type O, with Steele at his angriest.
