Tom Papa Comedians Stand-Up

And we’re not talking about Educated Horses. Zombie recently helmed his first stand-up special, Tom Papa: Live In New York City, which will have it’s World Premiere on Comedy Central this coming Sunday (8) at 10pm ET/PT. From the look of the attached clip, there’s no blood, homicidal killers, go-go girls or slow motion bullets ripping through bodies set to classic rock songs. What gives here?  Well, it probably has something to do with the fact that Papa voiced El Super Beasto in Zombie’s animated feature The Haunted World of El Super Beasto. An eight-year touring mate of Jerry Seinfeld, Papa has hosted NBC’s The Marriage Ref and also wrote and voiced a role in Seinfeld’s Bee Movie. We’re not holding any of that against him, and we’re still holding out hope that maybe there’s some sort of gore in the special. For now, you”ll have to watch the above trailer and tune in on Sunday. The CD version of the special, Tom Papa: Live in New York City, will be available in stores this coming Tuesday (10).
