New Music, Releases

It’s been 11 years since Aerosmith released their last studio album Just Push Play (let’s forget 2004’s Honkin’ On Bobo, shall we?). Since then, the classic rock legends have been through its fair share of drama, while Steven Tyler took a job with American Idol. But on November 6 (well after their tour with Cheap Trick), Aerosmith will finally release their new album Music From Another Dimension.

And in case you had any doubt, Aerosmith performed the album’s first single “Legendary Child” during American Idol’s season finale last night (May 23). In addition to appearing on the new album, the song will also be featured in the film GI Joe: Retaliation (pushed back to March 2013). And not only is “Legendary Child” available for purchase via iTunes, but is also being streamed online. Even though “Legendary Child” is actually a reworked version of an outtake composed during the Get A Grip sessions in 1991, the song has a 70s rock vibe that will please most old-school Aerosmith fans.

So go ahead and stream “Legendary Child” in the player after the jump. Music From Another Dimension can be pre-ordered via iTunes.
