Exclusive, New Music

About a week a ago, in our Dissident Aggression column, we bestowed upon you the awesomeness of the upcoming debut album from Portland’s Eight Bells.  Now we are giving you an exclusive chance to hear the album in its entirety before it hits the streets.

Eight Bells was formed by former SubArachnoid Space guitarist Melynda Jackson after the dissolution of her previous band.  She enlisted former band mate Chris Van Huffel on drums and classically trained Haley Westeiner on bass to form the acid rock version of a power trio.  The Captain’s Daughter is an album that will appeal to a broad range of music fans as it employs copious doses of heavy psychedelics and ambient auras in equal measure.  The album was engineered by legendary producer Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis, Agalloch) and fans of all those bands listed should be pleased with what they find here.

The Captain’s Daughter will be released on February 19 through Seventh Rule.   For more information on Eight Bells visit their official website.
